Take It Outside... The Back Deck
Yesterday was a day of rest for me.
This week I have been busy re staining our deck.
Unfortunately previous owners didn't think wood color would be a good idea.
Since they made that choice our choice was to do another color stain on top of the current one.
I thought grey would be a good choice. (It's hard to see, but the current color looks rather pink.)
Matt keeps reminding me the color we chose was 'Stonehenge'.
It's a little more than grey! In the evening light it looks blue!
Maybe not the best choice.
We will keep it for this year. I'm not in a hurry to do it all again!
Either way it looks nice to have a new sheen on there, all uniform.
Here is a before and after.
Now the fun stuff! I'll post another pict when we have it all decorated!
Today I planted flowers. While I was working the kids played outside. They like to 'build houses' for the ants, which consists of setting up all of the sand toys in a giant circle. Q had her goldfish crackers out there today and she spilled a few of them. Soon they witnessed the ants going to work and then they were 'feeding the ants'! It was pretty cool to get down there and watch them pick up the itty bitty pieces of food. Q was soon onto something else, but G was enthralled!
