33
Well, Monday was my 33rd birthday.
My friend Tara invited me over to her house during the day to swim and have treats as a celebration. The day was cool and a little wet so we didn't go swimming, but let the kids play and we still sat and visited. Eliza and Tara were so nice, thanks guys! I enjoyed having some 'day' celebration to make me feel special.
Matt got me a new computer monitor, so nice, so large! I do love it so, thanks babe. It came prior to my birthday, but made a great gift!
I got a sitter for us and we went out to Jasmine (Thai restaurant) for dinner. It was tasty, we haven't been there for quite a while.
Thanks to my good friends for remembering me, calling, and wishing me well on my birthday, it means a lot!
Ok 33 things we love about Carolyn... go!
Kidding. I will post 33 things though, just things...
1- Did you know I wanted to have all of my kids close together and be finished by age 30? I didn't quiet make it, but I was close.
2- In this next year I hope to come to terms with 'being done'. I've yet to say it, because I still feel like I'm too young to decide. I don't 'feel' finished, but alas, husband does! I hope to come to terms.
3- I'm 33 and have a 7 year old daughter that is beautiful. She is such a helper, so imaginative, a leader, passionate, creative, loving and thoughtful.
4- I'm 33 and have a 6 year old son that is committed. Sometimes this little man drives me insane! I have to repeat myself numerous times giving instruction, unless I hold his sweet little face and make sure I have undivided attention! BUT, he is committed to all things good and true. He is sweet and tender, giving, smart, coordinated, intrigued by all. He is my little man.
5- I'm 33 and have a 2 year old tornado! This kid has won the award for being the second funniest person in our family (dad is #1). He loves the attention when people are laughing with him and is just so funny!
6- I'm 33 and have a 1 year old sweetheart. My little guy is growing so fast. I love to see him waddle to and fro. He is pretty aggressive and watches like a hawk. He seldom is doing his own thing, he likes to be in the action.
7- I want to run a marathon in this next year of life.
8- I want to take a vacation where I can lay in the sun and hear the ocean beside me.
9- I want to read the New Testament. I've been enjoying it lately, learning a lot.
10- Right now I am watching Gray's Anatomy reruns. Jen Culley got me into it one year while I was visiting her. I watched the following season, but then just stopped. I'm thouroughly enjoying it now!
11- I am totally loving quick and easy Carmel corn. It + Gray's = perfect!
12- I so don't need another hobby, but I'd love to learn to row.
13- I want a new red sectional couch for my family room.
14- I sleep on my right side. I used to sleep on my tummy, but now I just sleep on my side.
15- I'm still not happy with how my kids rooms are decorated.
16- I'm a rearranger, things in my home are always shifting, even if I like it. Maybe that is why I like the fall/winter holidays so much, a lot of rearranging decor to do!
17- I still have sweats from high school and they are some of my favorites, especially when I'm preggers.
18- I want a new camera.
19- I have a wonderful sister that is one of my very best friends in the whole world.
20- I'm so over friendships that have a 'leave date'! I'm not investing in that anymore! Sorry!
21- I always thought I'd live far away from where I grew up in UT. Done.
22- If I ever 'work' in my lifetime, and am so fortunate to not 'have' to supply income, I will do volunteer work with the 'special' population.
23- My husband takes great care of our family. He's pretty much a rock star and I want all of his career dreams to come true!
24- Our first kiss was at Lake Powell.
25- I am so blessed. I have way more than any one person deserves. I am thankful.
26- I am 33 and have been married to MJM for almost 13 years. We have made such a great team and have created such a full life together. I am so thankful to this man for filling my life with so much. I have learned so much from being his partner and I really do love him.
27- I hope to get my room organized, BEFORE my next birthday!!!
28- I keep watching the recital DVD on my computer.
29- I want to have a scrap/craft night at my house, with girls and giggling, creating and chatting, treats and belly laughs. Does anyone want to come?
30- I need to talk more.
31- I don't feel old, but my skin is starting to wrinkle. I'm not too sad about that. I feel like the body has a natural course it's supposed to take in life.
32- I'm awful at saving money, but great at paying it back!
33- I want to go skydiving.
There you go. No order, just 33 things. Happy birthday to me!
