My poor blog...
I keep thinking I'm going to sit and scrapbook all of these photos I have. The reality is, however, quite the opposite. I recently printed off my first year of this blog, into a book. I love it! I need to make more of an effort to post stuff here, as I do this at least more than I scrap! We need some record of our life!
I got back from UT on Sunday. It was a quick, but totally productive visit. The purpose was to help Cand and Scott get their home somewhat decorated. We did succeed. Being a mom is a full time job in itself we know. Add to that unpacking, then decorating your new home, it's tough! Cand took care of her kiddies and mom and I went to town doing what we love! We'd stop to ask opinions and make suggestions, Cand would give her input and away we went! We shopped for specific items and were all 'business'! We went through frames and pictures they already had and hung then recycled. It was great! The days flew by! My goal was to get Scott to give me more than 'tolerable' as a vote! By the end he said he liked what we'd done. Their home is beautiful and full of space. They are generous people and I know the home will bless more lives than just theirs. It is truly a 'dream home'. Can't wait until the day I get mine!
Loved playing with Cooper, tickling makes me happy. My heart melted when I saw him crying because he thought he wouldn't be able to say goodbye to me. We got to watch Alli sing at her school party, she is passionate about music like her mother... you can see it in her serious face when she sings. I also got to love this adorable girl that I helped bring into the world. She is a BEAUtiful baby, is she not? Loved spending time with her...
Also, loved spending time with my sister and mom. They both love me so freely. It gives me stability and strength. I loved being with them, even for a few days.
Friday night Crockett's had a work party, of course I didn't need to go to that, so Jen Culley and Allison Bailey drove to Lindon to see me! It was so great! We went out to eat then shopped. I laughed, found some GREAT things, shot jealous eyes at Jen as she picked all of the great scarves, and got an update on both of their lives. They are beatuiful gals, I adore them both!
Love this shot...
but added this one for those who prefer their images in focus!
Saturday evening Ryan, Damon and Michelle (along with their families) all came to Cand's for dinner and a visit. WONDerful. I do love my family. I was bummed I didn't get to see everyone, but it made my visit even better to see family. I stayed at mom's that night and spent just a few quality moments with my dad before bed time. Needed that. It was a great trip!
