Facelift...

Oh, today is a 'stayinpajamasallday' day.

I had the meanest of headaches yesterday.  I was hoping a good night's rest would make me shiny and new again... I wonder if the disappointment of not being shiny and new again affects the headache that still plagues my head!?

It's ok.  I need a day to just work.  My boys seem to be operating well together today.  I've only had to break up one fight this morning.  Count the small blessings!  That one is helping me today!

Last week I had a 'spray painting' day.  I wanted to change the color of this easel.  I bought it at Pottery Barn some years ago and still love it bunches.  I actually have a smaller version too!  The large one needed a face lift.  I'm tired of the black, for this one, the bitty guy remains black.

I have been wanting to get some of my kiddies art work hung in my house.  Finally did that!  I painted the backings of the frames to just mount the art on that.  Painted them all, then decided that I just wanted white.  It wasn't a waste of time!  Just kidding!  Oh well, it happens.  Fortunately I was painting in bulk, so it wasn't too painful that it didn't work out.

Glad to have some artwork up.  I still have 3 more pieces that I'm putting onto canvas.  It looks great in our house and of course the kids are mighty proud.

While I was outside painting little O was melting down because he couldn't ride G's scooter.

'Ride your scooter',  I encouraged.

'It's a girl scooter', he pouted.

Well it finally bothers him, that pink scooter that he's been riding w/o complaint.

'Let's fix that!  How would you like to paint it!?'

Timing was perfect!  He chose his colors and I let him paint it.  Of course everyone else was jealous and wanted to paint too.  When you ride the girl scooter you deserve the privilege of changing it all by yourself!

It's not the best paint job, but do we care?  Heavens no!  It's no longer pink!
