Yea for polka dots!
Yea for polka dots, and yea for a finished project!
I began this project when mom was here, had it in mind prior to.
Love the pants I'm seeing all around. First fell in love w/ these adorable red ones I saw in Old Navy.
You probably can't see the dot... but I did, and they were calling my name, but I just bought red pants, can I get more? It's me. Of course I could buy more!
Then, I decided that I would make my own, why? Same answer, because it's me!
In some attempt so save some money, I would make my own!
I decided not to try on my lovely reds, went with my teal pants instead.
I bought a blank stencil, marked my dots and punched each one out w/ my crop-o-dile!
I used a pearly white fabric paint, a sponge brush and got going.
Tips, on the front I used a white makeup sponge instead, loved it so much more. Use a pouncing motion rather than a side to side motion, don't want the paint to seep under the circles. You get more of a blob than a cute polkie!
The paint dries pretty quick, but you know me... I lay these out to dry then start another project and don't finish this one for a few days! I finished yesterday and took these for a ride today!!!
Love!!! And, I may just go buy those red ones anyway!
Today I'm thankful...
That this election is over! Man I get tired of politics and wish we could all just be a little more patriotic instead of political.
That M made it home safe... and early! He drove to PA yesterday to present at a conference and drove back tonight.
For my Q and her willingness to help she is getting so 'grown up', not just big.
For new smells! I got myself some lotion at Bath and Body Works. I tried to exchange a lotion I ended up with... that I don't like at all! They wouldn't take it back, but I ended up with new stuff!
Mom made it home safe, although it was really tough to see her go. Yet another trip where we don't have a photo of us! I try to get one, each time we're together... I failed this time.
