The Shepherd and Brittany Spears? WIW Linkup!
Happy Sunday to you!
Well, today was a tough one! I spoke of restless kids last Sunday!
It may have just been me this week, I seem to be off a little, and when that happens my patience is more easily set off. Still today was a day that I chuckled with a friend 'Why do I do this again?', referring to the chore it sometimes feels like to take my kids to church while they are all complaining that they don't want to be there!
By the time sacrament meeting is over they are fine and on their way. I deal with the repercussions of the last hour along with the hole I feel in my heart... c'mon... help me remember why I do this!!!
Soon enough it is there as I see my son prepare his own thoughts for his primary talk, then stand and bear witness of what he believes! 1 out of 4 isn't bad right?
Then the hole in my heart is filled as I am reminded of my Savior and His atonement.
His promise to make up for the massive gaps I can't seem to fill, all of my inadequacies, the areas I just can't seem to get it together...
I hear about the shepherd with his sheep and think of a thought that was trailing somewhere in my brain at some point... the sheep are obedient to the shepherd, because of his devotion to them.
They follow where he leads, they stay with him, they know his voice...
He protects them, feeds them, knows them and will find those that are lost.
I think about the devotion I have felt from my Savior, how I have felt peace, calm, healing... how I need some of that today... and without fail, when I have sought him out, He has given me what I've needed.
This is why I am obedient to Him. This is why I will follow where He leads. This is why I will stay with Him.
I've spent some time in my scriptures today. I enjoy filling my Sunday's with study time. I needed it today.

Every time I wear this skirt Matt sings Brittany Spears' Hit Me Baby One More Time!!!
Indeed I look a bit like a school girl wearing this! I don't think I wore it at all last year.
This time around I paired it with a ruffle bib button up and my black vest.
I love the ruffle detail and the vest is actually pin striped.
