Love Lately... food, body, art and kids

Here are some of the things I'm loving lately...

Have you tried these candy bars?

You MUST!  I was pushing them on my friends at the baseball game last week, they are seriously heavenly!

I've bought a bag every time I've gone to BJ's recently!  Gotta stock up on these as they are advertised 'limited time only'.

Really, I don't love chocolate or candy bars, I'm totally diggin' these!

We've been hitting up the 7-11 lately for Slurpees.
Before we head out for baseball games we stop for Slurpees!

They have pina colada flavor so I am there quite often as of late, even if there is no game.
As soon as that flavor is gone I'm sure we won't get them as much, but for now, loving it!

Warm weather = smoothies and I have been loving them lately!
Here is what I've been making them with...
Frozen fruit, frozen spinach, ice, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese and some juice.
It is fun to play with the flavors and I'm happy to get some protein from the yogurt and cottage cheese, which both just blend up nicely.

I went for a bike ride with Melissa week before last.  Loved that.  It's been maybe 2 years since we've ridden together.  Loved visiting on our bikes.  She pulled 2 kids, while on her mountain bike!  She got a much better workout than I did! :)

I love that these 3 boys know how, and play chess.  Seriously, my 5 year old can kick my trash!

I will only play him with on the tablet because it gives me clues and shows me where the pieces will move.  Otherwise I'm just no good at all!

It challenges their minds, they can all play it, I'm all for it!  I admire it!  Love it.

I love that I can go from tri training right to show run-through...
That my body can go from hard, intense, long distance sport, to expressive, graceful dance.
Run-through was on Tuesday.  I dearly miss my friend Kristy, who is suddenly facing hardship, but will enjoy my time on stage.  It's been 3 years for me...

I love that this man enjoys playing his trumpet.  I never have to ask him to practice. He is self-motivated.  He has taught himself and is great at playing by ear as well as reading music.  

He has recently taken on the song "Happy".  Look at how he wrote down the music, not in note form, but letter form.  Whatever, he totally taught himself to play it!  I love that about him... he wants to know how to do something, he will work until it is accomplished.  I just wish he'd want to know how to clean the bathroom! :)

I love, and feel blessed for a couple of creative opportunities last week.

I needed them.  I needed to remember my purpose.  That my intentions of doing things aren't to 'master' them all, but to enjoy the experience of them all, and to bless lives of others through the things I do.

I took this cute girl out and we took photos of her as a lioness.

I needed that, to just be creative, to enjoy being behind my camera, creating art.

I did her hair and makeup, that was so fun!  She is a strong dancer, this concept is perfect for her.  

I loved it!
