How To Wear Your Bridesmaid Dress... After The Wedding
Have you ever been a bridesmaid? Of course you have. Everyone has right?
I say that in a slightly sarcastic tone.
As I was working on this style board challenge I wondered if I'm not that great of a friend!!!
I have only been a bridesmaid to my sister, and I was a very young teenager!
I myself didn't have any bridesmaids at my own wedding. It was more a function of not wanting to have a reception line.
Anyway, at first, taking time to make some style boards, showing how to wear your dress after the wedding, seemed silly to me...
I may not have any of these dresses, but that does not mean I don't know how to style a dress, and even better one that YOU may not know what to do with!
I can't lie, I'm a sucker for fashion, style, putting a look together.
So, here you are, three ways to wear that bridesmaid dress... after the wedding.
Bridesmaid dress: Weddington Way
(Seriously, they have such fabulous dresses! All of which would transition easily after a wedding)
My first style board is for a night on the town.
I love the fur vest first, then the sequined jacket, if the weather is cold.
I think an updo would be great with this look.
I actually have one for you to check out here.
This next look is a little more edgy. I think you can wear this leather vest open or closed.
Messy hair, like this model is wearing, or a high slicked pony would look good too.
This last look is totally casual. Of course I did heavier dusters for this time of year, but a lighter, more sheer duster would work for summer time too.
I like both of the necklaces shown here. I would do something long since the proportions of the duster are long.
Really this dress looks like a really nice maxi.
You can dress it up or down.
If you have a dress like this hanging in your closet, get it out! Wear it!
I'd bet, if you changed your look a little no one would be the wiser that it was a bridesmaid dress.
