Thrift Store Swap... 4th Of July Wall Art and Lace Frame

A few months ago I joined a group on FB.  That is where I met these ladies!

One of them had the idea to host a swap.  I jumped on board, it sounded fun to me.

We each shopped our local thrift shops and bought items totaling under $10, then we shipped them to someone else in the swap.

Each of us created something with our new thrifted items!

I'm excited to show you what I got and what I did with them...

Seven fabulous ladies have gotten together for an amazing event...

I will post about each of these items to show you my process, but here they are at a quick glance...

I got my items from Betsy of

Happily Ever After, Etc.

(we both were in the works of moving during this whole thing... craziness!)

I got a board with some paper and flowers on it...

I turned it into this festive July 4th hanging...

I created the printable for it.  Find that

.

I also got this simple picture frame.  It's just fine on it's own.  I had to think about how I could not just paint this item, but transform it somehow.

I found the perfect sized lace in my stash and decided to cover it with the lace.

Super cute right?

I also got a fabric covered cork board.  I didn't want to cover that with new fabric until after the move... not sure where to put it, not sure what fabric to use... you know.  When I find that packed item, and recover it I'll show you!

I want to thank these fabulous ladies for this idea!  It was a fun way to stretch my creativity and think outside the box.

Enjoy jumping around to see what these other creative ladies have done!
