Year In Review: Places We Went

We started this year off, winter break, heading to Washington DC.  It was a great trip!  A little colder than we expected and hoped, but still great to get away.  We came home to turbo snow, couldn't even get up our driveway!  So, our cool getaway was better than that at least!

Read all about that in this post.

In March my brother and his family came to see us!

After a week here we drove back to OK with them!  It was such a fun road trip, switching cars, singing loud, playing electronics, seeing church history sites.  I'm so glad we were able to drive together!

We stayed in OK for a couple days, then headed on to TX.  The kids were so good and we had such a fun road trip!  We got to see friends along the way as we headed to Houston.

... AND I totally stopped in Waco along the way!  Magnolia Market was dreamy!

We spent time with our buddies, spent Easter, and G/E's together, then drove home.  Matt had to stay back and work the whole time.  I did all of that driving by myself!!  I was scared, but it turned out to be just fine.  I only almost died just twice!  It was a great adventure and so good to be with so many people we love!

Matt and I went to Boston, in April.  After our long TX roadtrip, that felt like nothing!  After the race we were able to do some sightseeing, then stopped in Saratoga Springs, NY on the way home for a spa day.  It was a fabulous getaway!

We went to UT again, for a month.  We had some new adventures there this year.  We went rappelling, hiking and zip lining, among other things.  We always have such a great summer vacation and absolutely love being with our family!  Just search UT for those posts.  I didn't get all the way through our vacation, of course!  I totally need to up my game and do better sharing our travels here!

September was when Matt surprised me and took me to CA.  It was a heavenly trip!  I have more photography to share, but did post some photography over on my photog blog.  I put together a book, and got that printed already!  I haven't printed any of the pictures of my kids, but I do have that trip recorded!!!  Priorities!

I also went from Maryland to DC when I did the Ragnar.

My last little getaway was the beginning of November.  I headed back to TX, this time on a plane, to take the C's family pictures as well as Syd's senior pictures.

It has been a fun-filled year!  We have some fun adventures planned for 2017 as well.  Let's see if I can do a better job at sharing them with you!
