Still in pain...
Which I suspect he will be for a while. He's still pretty raw.
We didn't expect for Matt to go to the specialist and have them tell him he wasn't scheduled! He sat there for a while before the PA there examined him. What he told Matt is they probably wouldn't reopen him up and try to reattach the ligament. Since he has some movement and feeling it could do more damage to try.
To me, they could've at least tried to close his finger up a little better, since the first PA didn't spend a lot of time doing that. It's got innards puffing up out of it! Basically it was a waste of time and Matt left with an even worse dressing than he went in with. Bad. We tried to take it off this morning to soak and redress it. They attached BANDAIDS to the wound! It hurt like hell to get them off of the skin that is trying to reattach!!! He was shaking.
Thank you for your concern! We appreciate it.
And, for the record what happened was Matt turned the saw off, after successfully making his cut. He just didn't wait for the blade to stop before he went to grab the wood. So his accident was more a result of 'hurrying' to get it done.
I've uploaded photos here if you so desire to check them out!
Again, thanks for the concern!
