I love...
This month.
I love any reason to decorate my house!
I love the pink, fuchsia, red.
I love the hearts, everywhere! I keep these guys handy for sandwiches, cookies, cheese, pancakes and whatever else I can cut into heart shapes!
I love the month of focusing on LOVE!
We are doing a few things this month...
First LOVE reading. I wrapped a bunch of books (some new, some about love, some that the kids really love) and we will open them through the month and read them together.
I initially put this tree together to hang hearts on, with scriptures attached to each. Since we are doing many things daily I decided to just put 4 on and we will do those scriptures for FHE. PS... love how the tree looks in my entry!
I have a pail for each of us and a jar full of paper hearts nearby. Each of us can write little love's through the month to each other. I think we'll look at them weekly. I don't think everyone is, but I intend to write something to everyone daily. Ex: love that you grabbed me diapers today, love that you ate my leftovers!!! Q was so excited and got right on giving everyone a heart. She is sweet like that!
Tuesday nights we'll talk about scripture stories that focus on love. Along with that our activties will be love focused.
-A 'kisses and hugs' treasure hunt (For hugs and kisses of course! To receive each clue a family member must say something nice about another)
-Activity exchange. We will all do together what each of us loves to do. (O loves puzzles, we'll all do a puzzle. Q loves to color, we will all color.
-What I love about you. Each of us takes a turn on the love seat and others say things they love about us.
The last thing we are doing, starting Monday is leaving secret LOVES. I found these cute tiny clothespin hearts. Each of us will have one to hide where someone else will find our love. For example one might find a heart riding on their backpack, or hiding in their coat pocket, or lunchbag, maybe clipped to their keys. As soon as you get loved you need to rehide them, pass on the love. It should be fun. I think we'll have to clip a heart with our names signed so we know who shared their love with us.
