It's Always Fun When...

It's always fun when you finish your long run...
then jump in the shower to discover all of the places you chafed that run...
as the water and sweat hits you and burns your skin...
and you let out little yelps...

I went 13 on Saturday and it's my first time running that distance this season...
I always get a little brain psyched when I run each distance for the first time each season.
I brought my music... just in case, didn't know if I'd need a distraction.

I tucked the headphone wire into my waistband, then put my fuel belt around my waist.
Of course I never used the music, so I never adjusted anything.

When I got in the shower... and the hot water, that washed my sweat down my tummy, hit me, I couldn't hold the 'ouch' in!

I was wearing my glasses and of course took them off to shower... do you love that I'm so blind I can't even see my abdomen clearly w/o my glasses?

I didn't notice until the water hit it, but I have what looks like a curling iron burn where the wire was.
What the...
It seriously hurts!  Nice!

Anyhoo, it was a great run!  I wore my new shoes (Saucony Viratta) and they are great!
They came super fast, right?

Very light.  The heel/toe drop is the same as the Kinvara.  I can feel the mold of the inside is a little different and I felt that for a day after, but overall I'm pleased with this shoe.

My Matthew gave me some alone time on Saturday.
It was glorious and I SO needed it!
After my run I took me and myself out on a date!
We hit Panera for some super yum lunch...

I got this 6 cheese pasta and a greek salad.  I love Diet Coke sometimes after I run, Diet Pepsi will have to do, but it really just isn't as good!  Look at this cinnamon crunch scone... it was amazing, not gonna lie!

I sat and played Candy Crush and ate!  I went shopping after that.  I really don't have to go far to find my 'happy place'!!!  I bought some spring pillows for the house, a large mirror for the dining room which I intend to re-do soon, some Converse shoes.

It was great, and after a couple of hours I was tired and just wanted to go home and lay down!
